Linda Loving Presents Two Evenings of Spiritual Exploration

8:00 p.m. Monday, February 6
8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 7
Dunning Memorial Chapel

The Rev. Linda Loving presents two programs while visiting the Alma College campus. On Monday evening, Feb. 6, she performs Julian of Norwich, a one-woman drama bringing to life the spiritual wisdom of a medieval mystic. On Tuesday, Feb. 7, she presents "An Unpredictable Journey" as she reflects on the tapestry of her varied and unpredictable life. She calls people of all faiths — and uncertain faith — to seek the holy and attend to the sacred in their own lives.

Linda Loving is an actress, scriptwriter, consultant and ordained Presbyterian minister. In her twenty years in parish ministry, she helped to "break the stained glass ceiling" when she became one of the few women to serve as senior pastor of a large multiple staff congregation.

Alma’s close faculty-student interaction provides numerous benefits such as the ability to do undergraduate research on a graduate level. Alma’s professors treat students more as peers welcoming student input and collaboration on faculty projects. When students are involved in research, faculty aggressively pursue publication of findings including students as co-authors.
