Alma's Sport Marketing Manager is responsible for promoting Scots athletics to the campus and local communities and alumni in addition to generating in-season and post-season recognition of Alma College student-athletes on the local, regional and national stage. The Sport Marketing Manager works closely with local and hometown media to generate publicity for student-athletes and teams. The job includes maintenance of the Scots official website, http://athletics.alma.edu and production of media guides and other publications to help coaches and student-athletes in the recruiting process.

Carpenter, a 2002 graduate of Alma and an All-MIAA golfer, has spent the past two years working in sports information at both Indiana University and Michigan State University.

At Indiana, Carpenter served as media relations staff assistant and the main contact for the wrestling and women's soccer teams and secondary contact for the football and men's basketball teams. At MSU, Carpenter served as the primary contact for the 2003 Big Ten Champion field hockey team, men's and women's swimming and diving, wrestling and baseball.

"We are thrilled to have Lindsay back on campus," said athletic director Ellen Curtis. "The energy, enthusiasm and creativity she brings to this position will undoubtedly increase the visibility of the College and our students in addition to reconnecting Scots' Athletics with the campus, local community and alumni.

"I'm very excited to return to Alma College to promote the accomplishments of Scots' teams and student-athletes," said Carpenter. "I'm looking forward to working with coaches and student-athletes to generate campus and community support for all of Alma's 18 varsity sports."

A 1998 graduate of Clio High School, Carpenter currently resides in Clio.
