Volleyball Team Nationally Ranked

The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) released its Top 25 poll for this week (September 29), and the Alma College volleyball team is ranked number 23 in the nation among Division III schools. Among the top 25 nationally ranked Division III teams, Alma College has the second best winning record at 17-0. Only New York University, the top ranked team, has a better record, 18-0.

Steve Humm, head coach of the Alma College volleyball team, believes that it is the first time that Alma College's volleyball team has been nationally ranked.

For more information about the AVCA, visit its Web site. The results of the poll are available here.

The volleyball team's next match is 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 30, at home against Olivet College.
