Volleyball Team Climbs in Division III Poll

The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) released its Top 25 poll for this week (October 6), and the Alma College volleyball team is ranked number 22nd in the nation among Division III schools. Among the top 25 nationally ranked Division III teams, Alma College has the second best winning record at 20-0. Only New York University, the top ranked team, has a better record, 22-0.

Steve Humm, head coach of the Alma College volleyball team, believes this year is the first time that Alma College's volleyball team has been nationally ranked.

The volleyball team remains on top of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association standings with a 9-0 record. The women are aiming for a fourth straight conference title.

Alma’s off-campus study programs do more than place students in exciting locales to meet interesting people; they also create new opportunities for personal growth and skill development. One of the best ways to learn about other societies and cultures is to study and travel in international settings. You do not always have to know a foreign language.
