Trip Reflections

These are the reflections of Alma students helping the Presbytery of Mississippi with Hurricane Katrina relief work and participating in worship experiences in the Gulf Coast area during Winter Term break Feb. 25-March 4.

The faith-based hurricane relief trip to Gulfport has been keeping a journal since before the trip and are continuing to blog at http://ample-grace.livejournal.com.

Alma's "green" residence hall, Wright Hall, was completed in January 2005. The modern, 60-bed apartment-style hall features a number of environmentally friendly features, including geothermal heating and cooling, recycled-content ceiling tiles and carpeting, energy-efficient windows, rooftop solar heating panels, energy-efficient showers and washing machines, and a computerized energy monitoring system.
