Trip Reflections

This is the experiences of Alma students helping with Hurricane Katrina cleanup participating through the National Relief Network (NRN) during Winter Term break Feb. 25-March 4. NRN is a Greenville, Mich., organization committed to bringing large numbers of volunteers to state and federally declared disaster areas for the purpose of helping families in their efforts to rebuild homes, communities and lives.

 

Alma College is one of the best colleges fostering social responsibility and public service, according to The Princeton Review and Campus Compact. Terra’s Spring Term experience in China is a tremendous help understanding the relationship the U.S. has with one of its largest trading partners. The business administration major from Monroe has seen first hand the economic effects on southeast Michigan of low-cost imports and Chinese monetary policies.
