Alma College presents “Resonance: A Celebration of the Performing Arts” in Detroit.

The Alma College Choir, Percussion Ensemble, Pipe Band and Highland Dancers will present “Resonance: A Celebration of the Performing Arts” at 3 p.m. March 4 in Detroit.

Ammi Wright’s historic old home in Alma get a complete makeover.

Architect Kurt Wassenaar purchased the building. He also is restoring the old Opera House. Work on the opera house building, burned in the downtown fire in the fall of 2010, is expected to begin in the spring as well. His plans include residential suites for 60 Alma College students in the upper story and shops and restaurants in the lower story. AP story.

Alma College partners with MSU in program for pre-med students.

The agreement preserves two slots for Alma students to enroll in MSU’s medical school. “The mission of the Early Assurance Program is a great fit for Alma College and our increased emphasis in health science,” said Alma College President Jeff Abernathy.

Ferndale studio is selected to shoot Scottish culture documentaries.

Alma College is one of the first undergraduate colleges in the United States to belong to the International Criminal Court Student Network (ICCSN). Created in 2006 by students at the London School of Economics, the ICCSN aims to promote the work of the ICC and increase knowledge of international criminal law. Alma joins Duke University School of Law, the University of Cambridge and other institutions in a global community that connects students who share an interest in the ICC.
