Leestma makes history on the diving board.
“I love Alma,” said Hanna Leestma, who earned All-American status for NCAA Division III diving. “It was the perfect choice. I’m the seventh family member to attend Alma. It’s small, and since the classes are small it is easy to form relationships with your professors and the rest of the faculty.”

DDT is still a hot topic.
Four Alma College students review a pro-DDT book with the Pine River Superfund Task Force. Alma College hosted an international conference on DDT in 2008. Alma Professor Ed Lorenz attended a press conference in Washington, D.C., on the book’s release. He was one of only three people at the press conference who was there to protest the book’s findings.

TKE alumni donate fire detectors in remembrance of 1985 fire.
“At the time of the fire, we received so many donations from the community,” said Paul Kurtzhals. “The Alma community really gave back to us. We wanted to donate the smoke detectors because they saved our lives back in 1985.”
