Local school hosts all-day recruitment fair for unsigned senior athletes. “Just because your student isn’t going to Notre Dame doesn’t mean it’s time to give up competitive sports. A quick check of the NFL Hall of Fame roster reveals the small colleges producing plenty of members. Alma College, Fort Valley State and Bethune-Cookman have all produced Hall of Famers.”

Professors Become Students.
“Spanish for Faculty” enrolls 18 Alma College professors. “I’m delighted with my colleagues. I’ve been pleasantly surprised by their willingness to play along,” says Deb Dougherty, who is teaching the class. When the Ecuadorian students arrive in 2012, more faculty will be able to identify with some of the difficulties the students may face.
