My greatest accomplishment at Alma is
After my sophomore year, I got to present at an international conference in Maryland for the Society of Economic Botany. I was one of less than ten undergraduates there so I got to meet a lot of people who already had careers in what I was looking at going into.
I'd advise an Alma freshman to
Join as many clubs as you can at first, and as you get older narrow them down to what you’re really interested in – there’s always free food at the first meeting and you meet a lot of people, so it’s a win-win either way
I'd tell a student considering coming to Alma
Come back to visit more than once – don’t be afraid if you don’t get the “home” feeling on your first visit.
What I like most about studying at Alma is
How friendly everyone is—you can get involved with a lot of different social groups and activities. You don’t have to limit yourself to activities just in your major.
