Political Science

Joe Martin

My hometown when I was a student was

Temperance, Mich.

I graduated in

2013

I studied

Business Administration and Political Science

I currently live in

Lansing, Mich.

I am now

working full time as a Constituent Relations Aide for Speaker Jase Bolger while attending Cooley Law School on the weekends.

My Alma education

prepared me to be a well-rounded individual, not only academically, but also in life. There are so many different types of people you meet in the real world and I am thankful that Alma prepared me for that.

My Alma College education helped to prepare me for law school and my career by putting me ahead of the competition. In regard to law school, the business law classes I took at Alma really helped to prepare me for my contracts class at Cooley. And in regard to my career, Alma taught me what to expect in certain workplace situations and how to handle those situations when they arise.

My favorite professors(s) included

Professor Olbertson, who also happened to be my academic advisor. Without her guidance and advice, I am not sure I would be where I am today.

My most vivid/best memory of my time at Alma is

starting Alma’s first club hockey team and being able to play with some of my good friends. I also enjoyed playing flag football with friends.
