My greatest accomplishment at Alma is
Being a sophomore, I think my greatest accomplishment was getting an A on one of Dr. Aspinall’s papers. I truly worked so hard my first semester in my FYS class with him. It was my goal to at least receive ONE “A” on one of my papers that I wrote for him. I did it!
I'd advise an Alma freshman to
make the best of their first semester. That means with classes and experience. Make sure to work hard and get a good GPA, but also take the time to enjoy yourself and get involved on campus with everything that Alma offers.
I'd tell a student considering coming to Alma
make sure you visit and meet with professors. Even take a moment and sit in on a class to make sure Alma is for you. It’s a great school, but the smaller size might not be for everyone. I truly enjoy the size and believe it’s for most people.
My favorite part about living on campus is
being able to see my friends whenever I want. All of my friends are literally a five-minute walk away, including classes. So during this harsh winter, most students at other colleges have to walk or take a bus, whereas my walk to class takes about five minutes.
