Kelly Prill

Almost anyone that has worked with Kelly Prill will remember him distinctly.  Kelly is very much a free spirit.  While at Alma College, Kelly had colorful clothes and sometimes hair, as well as an awesome pair of Army boots that were painted to match his moods.  It was fun watching Kelly explore his similarly colorful interests while he was here at Alma College.  Philosophy & Religion, Comics & Gaming, and Radio Production were just some of Kelly’s pursuits.  Kelly now works at Indiana University at Bloomington, where he draws upon his Liberal Arts education for his career in Information Technology.

My hometown when I was a student was

Bad Axe, MI. The secret home town of Ted Nugent and the former site of a Vlasic Pickle factory.

I graduated in

2001

I studied

Religious Studies and Literature.  I was very pompous.

I currently live in

Bloomington, IN. There are no Pickle factories here.

I am now

The Manager of an IT Support Team.

Since graduating from Alma

I have been a janitor, store manager, hotel clerk, sales director, mail room gopher, computer technician, and manager.  Go Liberal Arts Education!

My Alma education

Was expensive, but actually worth it.  I would in fact do it again.

My favorite place(s) on campus included

WQAC production booth. Library circulation desk. Basically anywhere that wasn’t class.

My favorite professors(s) included

John Ottenhoff, Michael Selman, & John Walser.

My most vivid/best memory of my time at Alma is

The day I arrived, I was put in the Newberry dorm, which was an all-ladies dorm.  Since my
name is Kelly, people just kind of assumed.
