Class of

2015

My hometown is

Goodrich, Mich.

My major(s):

English and Business Administration

I'm involved in:

Sigma Alpha Iota, Sigma Tau Delta, Property Coordinator of Alpha Gamma Delta,College Chorale

After I graduate I plan to

I want to work in grant writing, and then move toward the business section of non-profits. I also hope to become a great writer!

My favorite place on campus is

I love the library! Joe’s is also a really fun place on campus, and I would also have to say my house. Those would be my top three!

Some of my favorite professors include

Dr. Aspinall—he encourages you to do your best and work hard!

So far, my favorite class(es) has/have been

I took an Irish and Oedipal Literature class my freshman year, and it was what made me choose to become an English major. It was a great discussion-based class and I am so glad I took it during my first year of college.

My greatest accomplishment at Alma is

I did an independent study for grant writing; it was something that I went out and worked for, so I feel very accomplished that I made it happen.

I'd advise an Alma freshman to

Don’t be afraid to explore what you can do at Alma – take a bunch of different classes, join a bunch of different groups, just get out there and take advantage of what Alma College has to offer.

I'd tell a student considering coming to Alma

Come back and visit for a lot of different things. Do everything you can to see the different facets of the college! Especially talk to professors—it’s a great thing you can do on a weekday visit that not a lot of people know about.

What I like most about studying at Alma is

The students direct the Student Life themselves—our students are very involved and organized on campus!

My favorite part about living on campus is

Alma College has become home for me. When you get into your dorm room, you make that your own little home-away-from-home and it becomes that comfortable place you can always go.
