Joan Sampson

Joan Sampson holds a B.S. in Music Education from the University of Indianapolis, a M.S. in Music Ed from the University of Illinois, and a M.S. in Education Administration from Central Michigan University.

Her teaching experience includes K-12 classroom and vocal music in Danville, Ill., and Beaverton, Ore., before coming to Michigan, where she taught elementary and high school choir in Clare. Since retiring from public education, she has taught in the education department at CMU and teaches elementary music methods at Alma. 

Ms. Sampson is active as a soloist and has extensive experience in music theater as a performer and in theater costuming. She recently was costumer for CMU’s Pirates of Penzance and Carousel.
