I am proud of the fact that I have presented research that I did at Alma at a National ACS conference. Not only was it a fantastic experience, but it was also another factor in helping me to decide that I wanted to go to graduate school.

A piece of advice I would give to a freshman is to not treat your classes like classes, instead treat them like they are preparing you for your future, even if it isn’t in your major. The class will have a stronger impact and learning the material then becomes an essential thing for you to do.
