Alma College faculty and guest artists will perform a mix of classical and popular works at the annual Gala Benefit Musicale at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27 in the Remick Heritage Center.
The concert benefits music scholarships for Alma College students. Tickets are $20 for adults and free for Alma College students and youth 18 and under. Seating is reserved. Call (989) 463-7304 for ticket information.
“The concert showcases members of the music faculty and guests who will perform a wide variety of music styles from a range of time periods,” says Alma Symphony Orchestra Director Murray Gross.
Performers include violist Takeshi Abo and his wife, violinist Carel Abo, pianists Ray Riley and Tony Patterson, flutist Tess Miller, bassoonist Andrea Warful, soprano Barbara Burdick, clarinetist Wesley Warnhoff and percussionist Dave Zerbe.
