Gift Records/Annual Giving Office Associate

Alma College is looking to hire a new Gift Records/Annual Giving Office Associate.  This position will provide support for the director of annual giving and the advancement office as needed.

Position Summary

Provide support for the director of annual giving and the advancement office as needed.  Make teamwork a priority.

 

Supervision Received/Exercised

Receives supervision from the director of annual giving.  Expected to work independently.

 

Essential Functions

  • Gift entry, processing and receipting
  • Solicitation type review
  • Database upkeep-address changes
  • Coordinates student phone-a-thon program
  • Create and work with auditors for reporting and information requested
  • Matching gift forms
  • Assist with Donor Accents listing information
  • Provides administrative support
  • Assist with database cleanup as needed
  • Work weekends and evenings as needed

 

Required Qualifications 

  • High school graduate
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines is essential
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite, including Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Experience in database management
  • Knowledge of general office procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Work weekends and evenings as needed

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Fundraising background
  • Knowledgeable in Datatel software

 

Physical Requirements

  • Walking
  • Lifting up to 20 pounds
  • Sitting at a desk approximately eight hours a day
