The Alma College Percussion Ensemble closes its 2013-14 performance season with a high-energy concert featuring music from its award-winning performance at the University of Notre Dame Collegiate Jazz Festival.
The show will begin at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 12 in the Remick Heritage Center. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for seniors age 62 and older and free for Alma College students, staff and youth age 18 and younger.

“There is a wide variety of music in this concert,” says Dave Zerbe, ensemble director. “The audience always seems to enjoy themselves at the percussion concerts.”
The program will include “Time Check,” “High Noon,” “Tell Her That You Saw Me,” “Jitterbug Waltz” and “Transform” — pieces performed at the Notre Dame Festival in February. Caledonia junior Kegan Ball and Alma senior Cyrus Zerbe received outstanding soloist awards at the festival.
Other works on the program include “Ritual Music” by David Skidmore, “Concertare” by Raymond Helble and “Sharpened Stick” by Brett William Dietz.
