Annual Competition

Alma College is well known for its Scottish heritage, and and highland dancers are invited to register for an indoor dance competition and workshop to be held in early November 2015 on the college’s picturesque campus.

Registration includes admission to a Saturday evening concert featuring the Alma College Kiltie Dancers.

The Alma Indoor Highland Dancing Competition will take place Saturday. Competition classes include primary, beginner, novice, intermediate and premier and comprise Highland Fling, Sword Dance, Seann Triubhas, Hornpipe and Village Maid among others.

FUSTA card must be presented at registration and S.O.B.H.D. rules govern all events. Pre-registration is required, and entry fees vary by class. Lodging is not provided.

Highland Dancing Workshops will be offered Sunday. Instructors will offer Primary/Beginner/Novice ($20/dancer) and Intermediate/Premier ($35/dancer) instruction. Workshop price includes a light snack.

B.A.T.D. Exams will be offered Sunday afternoon following the workshop
