This four week lanoratory course began with replications of some of the classic phenomena in the field (e.g. iconic memory, mental rotation, geometric visual illusions, dichotic listening). Some experiments were ready to run. For others, students were given a brief demo and a question and asked to design the experiment themselves. During the final 10 days, students divided into groups to conceive, design and run studies of their own choice. Each of these final projects is presented here as a web poster.
Work was done on Macintosh computers with the following software:. Superlab and Eye Lines were used to run experiments. Stimuli were prepared with Super Paint, Quick Take Camera, Photoflash, and Sound Edit Pro. Data were processed with Microsoft Excel and Stat Vue.
