mission statement
The Alma College Permanent Collection is managed through the Department of Art & Design and stored in the curatorial room inside Flora Kirsch Beck Gallery.  With the annual Alma College Statewide Print Competition in its 26th year, we have the most extensive collection of contemporary Michigan printmaking anywhere.   In addition to prints, we have wide variety of historical and contemporary works in other media.

art exchanges
Every effort is made to display work throughout the campus in faculty and administrative offices, classrooms, building hallways.  
Periodic art exchange days are scheduled in order to return and select new work for display.  Exhibiting this artwork throughout campus helps support the mission of the college within an interdisciplinary context of learning.  It also serves to raise awareness of the fine arts while providing rich visual forms to the interior design of the campus complex.
