Since graduating over 25 years ago, Susan has also gained knowledge in Web Page Design, Adobe Illustrator, Pagemaker and Photoshop. She has also pursued her interests in children’s literature and real estate.

“I taught art at the High School level but – I’ve decided to try writing for awhile. It will entail children’s books and magazines [targeted at] ages 9-14.”

In reflecting on her years at Alma, Susan says, “Kent Kirby was a great mentor. I loved my friends and Alpha Theta.”

And her words of wisdom: “Having a family has been a great experience; I highly recommend it. But if you’re female (as I am) you really need to set aside plenty of time to create. Be sure to keep your passion.”
