Pamela Temple/Marjorie Brown Memorial Award

This award is given each spring to the outstanding junior year art major and carries with it a $200 stipend for the purchase of art supplies. The award was funded by Marjorie Brown in honor of her niece, Pam Temple, an art student who died during her junior year at Alma College.

Each spring, the art faculty and the elected student representatives select the recipient of the Pam Temple Award based on the quality of his/her artwork, academic record, professional activities such as publications and exhibitions, and promise of future success in an art field. The names of past award recipients are inscribed on two plaques placed just inside the front entrance to the Clack Art Center.

Senior Purchase Award

Determined by the art faculty and elected student representatives, this award provides a stipend of $200 and enables the Department to add a work from the Senior Show to the Permanent Collection each year.
