Welcome to Housing and Residence Life

Located in the Student Life Office in Tyler Van Dusen, we are happy to serve students in many capacities. Whether you have a question about your housing options, are having trouble with your roommate, would like to join a greek organization, or are interested in any of the clubs or organizations on campus, our office is the place to visit.

Within our office you will find the Director of Campus Life, the Housing Coordinator, the four Hall Directors, the two Assistant Hall Directors, the Director of Student Activities, the Student Judicial Coordinator, the Greek Advisor, and the Vice President for Student Life. We also advise several organizations out of our office which include Student Judicial, the Alma College Union Board, the Little Siblings Weekend Committee, the Residence Hall Association, Greek Life, and the Resident Assistants.

Alma College students have the ability to design their own area of academic concentration, with the assistance of a faculty advisor, to meet specific educational or career goals. In recent years, students have graduated with Programs of Emphasis majors in such fields as arts management, archaeology and anthropology, environmental policy and community advocacy, Foreign Service and international law, and music technology and digital media.

Terra’s Spring Term experience in China is a tremendous help understanding the relationship the U.S. has with one of its largest trading partners. The business administration major from Monroe has seen first hand the economic effects on southeast Michigan of low-cost imports and Chinese monetary policies.
