Welcome.

If you are a high school student or parent looking for a college with an outstanding reputation that offers a personalized educational experience, you’ve come to the right place. As you browse through these pages (make sure to take the visual tour), you will find many reasons to consider expanding your educational horizons at Alma College.

Alma College will prepare you for life after Alma, whether that be admission into one of the best graduate or professional schools or employment. As an Alma student you will benefit from individual direction and attention to your learning. You may not realize the full impact of your Alma education until after you graduate. You will have learned the skills most sought by employers and graduate schools and needed for future success — oral and written communication, problem solving, critical thinking and use of information in a rapidly changing, information-driven world.

Actively engaged in your own learning, you will be encouraged to step beyond your comfort zone and develop your own identity. You will tackle new areas of study, learn in new environments and assume leadership roles you might never have imagined. These opportunities prepare you for continued growth as your life and your world of work change.

Students come first at Alma College. On campus you find a deep and genuine concern for your growth and well-being from all members of the Alma community. Exploration of the world awaits you. During the four-week Spring Term (and at other times) you can study in countries such as Spain, Great Britain, Australia, Scotland, China, Mexico, New Zealand, France, Italy, Germany and Peru. There are numerous opportunities to apply one’s learning while serving others in the local community and beyond. As one recent alumna stated, “At some schools, you can learn how to change the world. Or you go to Alma and start doing it while you’re here.”

When you graduate you will be ready for wherever your life leads, but you also will join a group of fiercely loyal alumni who never forget their Alma College days!
