WOMEN'S TENNIS: AC Takes 7-2 Win from Manchester College

Alma, Mi.- The Alma College Women's Tennis Team have now won seven of the last eight matches as they defeated Manchester College today by the score of 7-2.

The Maroon and Cream won the #2 through #6 singles and the #2 and #3 doubles to bring home the victory.

Alma will have a tougher challenge this Friday, March 14th as they travel to Saginaw Valley State University to take on the Cardinals. The dual match is schedule to begin at 4:00 p.m.

The Alma College Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) team claimed its sixth consecutive regional championship at the SIFE USA Regional Competition in March 2007. The competition awards the SIFE teams that are most effective in teaching the principals of market economics through outreach projects in their communities.

Cheyenne Luzynski

Alma College Athletics appointed Cheyenne Luzynski as head volleyball coach beginning with the 2007 spring non-traditional season. Luzynski is the eighth head coach in the 31-year history of Alma College volleyball.

Luzynski has served as an assistant volleyball coach for two seasons and has led the junior varsity program during that time. She has served as an assistant coach with the men’s basketball program, leading its junior varsity program and is an assistant coach with the men’s and women’s track and field teams at Alma College. Additionally, Luzynski has been named an assistant Athletic Director and serves as the Senior Woman Administrator within the department.
