2008: Continued in her sophomore season to lead the Scots starting in 18 contests. Swan recorded 12 goals and 5 assists which lands her at the top leading the team in points (29). Swan was named the MIAA Offensive Player of the Week three times throughout the 2008 season and was also recognized by making the all-MIAA 1st team in the postseason. Third in the MIAA for points per game with an average of 1.53/game ... Second in MIAA for goals with .63/game ... tied for eighth in MIAA for assists with .26/game ...First in the MIAA for game winning goals with 6, averaging out to .32/game ...

2007: Started 18 games for the Scots. Led the team in several statistical categories including Shots (56), Shots on Goal (42), Goals (16), and Points (36) while also recording 4 assists. Set Alma College Single Season Goals record surpassing Julie Schiele from the 1995 season. Led the conference in Goals (9) and Points (20) while finding a spot in the top ten in assists as well. Was MIAA Offensive Player of the Week in week 1. Was selected to the All-MIAA Second Team in her freshman campaign. Was selected as Alma's "Most Significant Player".

High School: Played for the Bull Dogs under Head coaches Dimitri Lulo and Brian Brieder...Mac District Champs in 2005...4 year Varsity starter...2 time Captain...named to All-Academic team four times for soccer- three times for Basketball...was named to All-district team twice for soccer.

 

In the more than 100 years since its founding, Alma has stayed true to its roots by keeping its Scottish heritage alive. Today, Alma features a marching band clad in Kilts, a Scottish dance troupe, student pipers and its own tartan. Each year, the College hosts the Alma Highland Festival and Games, which feature traditional Scottish games and revelry.

Jeff Hosler ‘02 joined the Alma College Athletics staff as the Scots women’s soccer coach in 2006 and has helped the Maroon and Cream rise as one of the most talented young teams in the MIAA.

In his time at Alma, Hosler became one of the best players in the 30 years of Scots soccer. He remains the all-time assists leader and ranks in the top ten in career goals and in the top five in career points. He helped the Scots to their second MIAA title, first-ever NCAA Regional Championship and first-ever NCAA Final Four appearance in 1999 en route to first team All-MIAA and third team All-Mideast Region honors. He would go on to earn first team All-MIAA accolades again in 2001 and was named to the conference’s second team in 2000.
