2008: Played in 15 contests. Led the team in saves (61) and minutes (997) at the goalkeeper position. Weicksel allowed 14 goals in the 2008 season, an average of 1.26/game. fifth in the MIAA for goals against average at 1.26/game ... third in the MIAA for save percentage with a .813 ... seventh in the MIAA for saves with 4.07/game ... sixth in the MIAA for shutouts with .13 ...

2007: Started in 12 contests. Led team in Saves (47) and Minutes (1003) at the goalkeeper position.

2006: Medical Red Shirt.

High School: Coached by Ron Meteyer..Graduated with Honors. Starting Goalkeeper for 2004 state championship team and 2006 state finalist in MHSAA Division 1.

Service/Volunteer Activities: Mission Trips to Tennessee and Ohio. Adult Mission Trip to Romania through Habitat for Humanity, National Honors Society

 

Alma's "green" residence hall, Wright Hall, was completed in January 2005. The modern, 60-bed apartment-style hall features a number of environmentally friendly features, including geothermal heating and cooling, recycled-content ceiling tiles and carpeting, energy-efficient windows, rooftop solar heating panels, energy-efficient showers and washing machines, and a computerized energy monitoring system.

Graduation: 2002

Jeff Hosler ‘02 joined the Alma College Athletics staff as the Scots women’s soccer coach in 2006 and has helped the Maroon and Cream rise as one of the most talented young teams in the MIAA.

In his time at Alma, Hosler became one of the best players in the 30 years of Scots soccer. He remains the all-time assists leader and ranks in the top ten in career goals and in the top five in career points. He helped the Scots to their second MIAA title, first-ever NCAA Regional Championship and first-ever NCAA Final Four appearance in 1999 en route to first team All-MIAA and third team All-Mideast Region honors. He would go on to earn first team All-MIAA accolades again in 2001 and was named to the conference’s second team in 2000.
