The Alma Women's Soccer team hosted Wisconsin-Whitewater on a sunny and comfortable Mid-Michigan afternoon at Scotland Yard, but dropped a hard-fought 2-1 game. The loss dropped Alma to 1-5-1 on the season, while the Warhawks improved to 3-3 on the 2009 campaign.
The Scots will host Anderson tomorrow at Scotland Yard with a 1:00 p.m. scheduled start.

The $10.2 million Hogan Center renovation and building project includes the construction of a new sports arena and convocation center along with renovated locker rooms, athletic training space, natatorium, coaches' offices and classrooms. The "new" Hogan is designed to be Alma College's first LEED-certified building for sustainable construction. The estimated completion date is August 2010.

Jeff Hosler ‘02 joined the Alma College Athletics staff as the Scots women’s soccer coach in 2006 and has helped the Maroon and Cream rise as one of the most talented young teams in the MIAA.
In his time at Alma, Hosler became one of the best players in the 30 years of Scots soccer. He remains the all-time assists leader and ranks in the top ten in career goals and in the top five in career points. He helped the Scots to their second MIAA title, first-ever NCAA Regional Championship and first-ever NCAA Final Four appearance in 1999 en route to first team All-MIAA and third team All-Mideast Region honors. He would go on to earn first team All-MIAA accolades again in 2001 and was named to the conference’s second team in 2000.
