Scots Force Overtime Against Concordia, Ultimately Lose 2-1 in Overtime

Box Score

ALMA, Mich.
- Alma's women's soccer team lost to Concordia at Scotland Yard, 2-1 in overtime. The Scots are now 2-5 on the season.

Alma's defense faltered in the 17th minute when CU's Megan Romer found the back of the net to give the Cardinals a 1-0 lead.

Against the ropes, Alma countered with a goal of its own in the 67th minute when Megan Murphy found Kelley Walsh open. The Scots tied it up and sent it to overtime and in the sixth minute Casey Hoover got the sudden victory goal for the Cardinals.

Alma returns to action this weekend when it travels to Olivet College to open the MIAA season.

More than 100 Alma College students and staff traveled to destinations in Georgia, Tennessee, Florida and Mississippi for service projects during winter break in February 2008. Alternative Break service experiences continue to gain popularity on Alma College’s campus,” says Sallie Scheide, assistant director in the Center for Responsible Leadership.
