Program Description
Patterned after a unique and attractive Dutch style of play, the Alma College women’s soccer team has established itself as one of the top programs in Michigan with its style of team possession play on the field and quick ball circulation. The Scots soccer program wants to teach the art of ball movement and demonstrate this style of play to high school players. The clinic is dedicated to applying the fundamental playing skills at as high a level as possible: sportsmanship, proper motivational techniques and attitudes, and a how-to in implementing the Dutch style of quick ball movement and exciting team possession  attacking soccer. Our clinic is dedicated to helping each participant master the fundamental soccer skills they need to take playing soccer to the next level. We will focus on individual ball skills such as dribbling, receiving and passing in team possession style through a curriculum of drills, exercises and training games. This environment will give each player the chance to learn new skills and then develop those skills within a competitive game setting. The clinic features skill development in basic ball skills, team passing patterns, small-sided team possession, and improving speed of plays.

Training session will be conducted by the Alma College women's soccer coaching staff and varsity team players to ensure that every girl receives extensive one-on-one instruction. The Scots women's soccer players will help each camper and train various footwork maneuvers and ball skills while serving as role models for all participants.
