Scots' Offense explodes in 6-0 shut-out the Bulldogs

The Scots came out strong with the wind behind their back to score two goals in the early part of the first. Christina Harig, freshman forward from Benzie Central scored the first goal when she received a pass from Rachel Comfort (Eastpointe) and slotted past Adrian's keeper. Not shortly after, Kelle Sajdak (sophomore forward from Lincoln Park) finished off the rebound in front of the net to take the Scots 2-0 lead into halftime.

Although going against the wind, the Scots' offense exploded in the second half as the team added four goals to bland Adrian 6-0. Harig opened the scoring for the Scots for second goal of the day as she received a direct kick from Ruth Anderson (sophomore defender from Holt), turned and sneaked by the Bulldogs' keeper. Less than two minutes later, Kelle Sajdak got behind Adrian's defender and fed Brandi Wright (Junior forward from Holt) in front of the open net. Near the end of the secnd half, Rachel Comfort added another goal and set up Angie Szatkowski (freshman centermid from North Muskegon) for a final goal of the day.

The Scots improved their overall record to 4-9-1 and 4-6-1 in MIAA. They will travel to Angola, Indiana Thursday to play Tri-State University. Game time is set for 4 p.m. CT.
