Assistant Coach Kristi Evans

  Kristi Evans begins her first season as an Assistant Coach for the Alma women’s soccer squad in 2009 after being the junior varsity soccer head coach at Lasher (MI) High School since 2007.

Evans, a native of Mason, MI, was a three-year team captain for Division I Oakland University from 2006-08, where her team qualified for the NCAA tournament twice during her tenure. She garnered first-team All-League honors in 2006 and 2008 and Oakland won the league championship all four years of her eligibility.

She is certified with the Michigan State Youth Soccer Association and earned a Coaching D License in June of 2008. Evans has been an offical for youth soccer and has participated as a Oakland University Soccer Camp Coach and Counselor while in school.

 

 

Alma College is among the 10 percent of all colleges and universities in the nation to hold membership in The Phi Beta Kappa Society, the nation's oldest and most prestigious undergraduate honors organization.

Jeff Hosler ‘02 joined the Alma College Athletics staff as the Scots women’s soccer coach in 2006 and has helped the Maroon and Cream rise as one of the most talented young teams in the MIAA.

In his time at Alma, Hosler became one of the best players in the 30 years of Scots soccer. He remains the all-time assists leader and ranks in the top ten in career goals and in the top five in career points. He helped the Scots to their second MIAA title, first-ever NCAA Regional Championship and first-ever NCAA Final Four appearance in 1999 en route to first team All-MIAA and third team All-Mideast Region honors. He would go on to earn first team All-MIAA accolades again in 2001 and was named to the conference’s second team in 2000.
