WOMEN'S GOLF: Scots Tame Thornapple Point Golf Club in Opening Tournament Victory

The Alma College Women's Golf team travelled to the west side of the state to participate in their opening tournament of the season, the Calvin College Invitational, and came home with a six stroke win over Hope College.

Leading the way for the Scots was sophomore  Sarah Caverley (Gowen/Greenville) and junior  Kristin Senter (Grand Ledge/Grand Ledge) who both finished play with 85's, two of the three who tied on top of the leaderboard. Junior Jessica Kennard  (Hillman/Hillman) also penciled in a very respectable 87 on her score card, good enough for a tie for second place over all.
