Scots to compete in MIAA Championships the next two days at Bedford Valley CC

 

Bob Devaney, a 1939 graduate of Alma College, went on to become known as one of the greatest coaches in collegiate football history. In his 11 years as head coach at Nebraska, Devaney produced 11 winning seasons with two national championships. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1981. At Alma he played end and was the Scots' Most Valuable Player in 1938.

Gordon Aldrich

Gordon Aldrich was a late addition to the Alma College Coaching Staff in the summer of 2007 and went right to work rebuilding the cross country program.

In his first year at the helm, both the men’s and women’s teams improved and both saw an increase in participants.

During his time at Alma, Aldrich has coached one All-MIAA selection in cross country.
