The Alma College Women’s Basketball team hit the road on Wednesday evening and dropped a 51-26 decision to Albion College. The Scots continue its season on Saturday afternoon, when they host Rochester College, in a non-conference tilt at Cappaert Gymnasium. The Scots shot a dismal 17% for the game and struggled from the start, trailing 30-12 at the end of the half. The Britons hit on 44% of its shots in the initial frame, including five three-pointers, as they established control quickly and used a smothering defense to keep Alma at bay.

The second half was a bit better for the road team, but Albion was still able to outscore the Scots by a margin of 21-14 in the final 20 minutes. Alma’s defense was very stingy as the Britons shot just 26% in the last frame. However, offensively, the Scots struggles continued as they hit on just five of 29 attempts from the field.
