WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: Brits Exact Their Revenge, Defeat Scots 71-53

Feb. 16, 2008

The Lady Scots (9-12, 6-8) traveled to Albion College to take on the Britons (19-4, 12-3) in hopes of grabbing the season sweep. Unfortunately, despite shooting 46 percent from the field, the Maroon and Cream struggled to take care of the ball and to get rebounds and fell in the end by the score of 71-53.

Albion did an outstanding job of limiting the Scots two leading scorers as they held Ashley Matuzak (Saginaw/Nouvel C.C.) and Meagan Hoblet (Cadillac) each to six points and a meager eight field goal attempts.

The good news for the Scots came in the form of freshman Stephanie Bradshaw (Livonia/Churchill) who managed to score 15 points on six of seven shooting in only 18 minutes played.

The Scots will look to get back on track on Wednesday as they travel to Olivet College for a 7:30 tip-off.
