Terra Teague Named Academic All-District

ALMA, Mich. - Junior Terra Teague (Monroe) has been named a CoSIDA Academic All-District IV Third Team honoree, the organization announced.

Teague holds a 4.0 GPA as a Business Administration major at Alma College. She has served as vice president of Alma's Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE), is a member of Alma's accomplished Model UN team, has been involved in hurricane relief efforts in Chalmette, La., and has five times been named to Alma's Dean's List.
 
This season, Teague has helped the Scots to a 10-11 overall record and a 6-8 mark in MIAA action, playing in all 21 games and stepping in to a starting position in four games throughout the year.

She averages 13.5 minutes per game and 2.6 points per game and is shooting over 40 percent from the field. She has scored a career-high 12 points twice this season, both Scot wins. She scored 12 points and grabbed seven rebounds in a 78-75 overtime win against Concordia on Nov. 28 and scored 12 points again on Jan. 10 against Adrian College.

Teague and the Scots return to action this Wednesday when they travel to Hope College at 7:30 p.m.

Charlie Goffnett

One of the top Division III coaches in the nation, Charlie Goffnett has built the Alma women's basketball program into a national powerhouse. With three MIAA titles, five NCAA Tournament berths and one national championship under his belt, Goffnett is one of the most accomplished coaches in the nation.

Charlie Goffnett began coaching the women's golf team in 1990. As head coach, he has established a competitive program that is always on or near the top of the MIAA standings. In 1997, the Scots captured their third MIAA title under Goffnett's guidance.
