Scots Make it Three in a Row With 70-55 Win at Adrian

ADRIAN, Mich. - The women's basketball team improved to 11-9, 6-7 in MIAA action with a 70-55 win on the road against Adrian Wednesday evening.

All five Scot starters were in double figures as senior Katey Peacock (Gowen/Greenville) led the way with 18 points while Ashley Matuzak (Saginaw/Nouvel Catholic Central) added 16 points. Darcie Philp (Ubly) added 13 points, Ashley Borcherding (Millington) had 11 and Erica Philp (Ubly) chipped in with 10 points.

The Scots led by just one point at halftime, 32-31, before a stingy second half defense allowed the Bulldogs just 24 points as the Scots went for 38 in the final stanza.

A solid all-around shooting performance helped the Scots as they shot nearly 50 percent for the game while holding Adrian to under 40 percent.

Alma returns to action this Saturday when it hosts Olivet at 3 p.m.
