ALMA, Mich. - The Alma College women's basketball team have jumped onto a two-game winning steak after defeating Kalamazoo College 71-63 on Saturday afternoon.  The win puts the Scots just above the .500 margin on the season (10-9) and two games below the margin in the league (5-7).

Senior Darcie Philp (Ubly) led the Scots in the win with 19 points and 13 rebounds while senior Katey Peacock (Gowen/Greenville) added 15 points and 5 assists.  Ashley Matuzak (Saginaw/Nouvel Catholic) and Ashley Borcherding (Millington) reached double digits in the points column with 12 and 10 points.

The Scots return to action on February 8th against Adrian at Adrian College.  The tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.  Adrian is (7-13) overall and (3-10) in the league.
