Alma's Second Half Too Much For K'zoo
ALMA, Mich. - Alma College women’s basketball improved to 12-10, 7-9 MIAA to end the regular season with a 63-53 victory against Kalamazoo Saturday afternoon.Katey Peacock (Gowen/Greenville) led the Scots with 20 points, adding seven rebounds and four assists. Michelle Dettling (Chelsea) came up big with an 11-point, 14-rebound double-double. Erica Philp (Ubly) added 14 points in the win.
Alma and K’zoo battled to a low-scoring first half total as K’zoo held the edge after 20 minutes, 22-15. Alma came back to score 48 points in the second half, holding the Hornets to just 31 points in the second half.
The Scots will wait to hear the official announcement from the MIAA regarding the MIAA Tournament pairings.
