ALMA VOLLEYBALL WINS TWO TOURNAMENT CONTESTS IN BEREA, OHIO
The Alma Scots Volleyball team made the journey to Berea, Ohio, just outside of Cleveland, on Friday to participate in the 11th Annual Marcia French Tournament at Baldwin-Wallace University.
What transpired was a very successful day of play with Alma winning both of their contests and have now improved to 5-2 (1-0 MIAA) on the 2008 season. The Scots defeated Allegheny (PA) in the first contest by the score of 3-0 (25-19, 25-22, 26-24) and culminated their long day by besting Wooster 3-2 in the nightcap (20-25, 25-17, 21-25, 25-23, 15-8).
Saturday brings two more contests, with the first being with the only other undefeated team in the tournament, Case Western Reserve. They will then finish the four-game tourney by playing host Baldwin-Wallace (1-1 after Friday) before making the trek back to Michigan.
The Scots continue conference play on Tuesday by hosting rival Albion at 6:30 p.m.
