Alma Volleyball Returns Home After Successful Trip to Wisconsin

Scots Volleyball Enjoys Successful Two Days in Wisconsin

The Alma Women's Volleyball team concluded two days at the Whitewater (WI) tournament on Saturday with a 2-2 record and with the realization it could have even been better.

After splitting two games on Friday, the Scots opened up Saturday's competition with a 3-0 victory over Bethel (MN) College by scores of 25-21, 25-19 and 25-16.  In the final game of the tournament, Alma lost a heartbreaking (and thrilling) five game set to Milliken (OH), with the scores being 14-25, 25-21, 21-25, 25-22 and 5-15.

Overall the squad made a Wisconsin weekend statement that this team will be one to reckon with come the MIAA season as it continues to improve under the watchful eye of coach Cheyenne Luzynski, in her second season at the helm of the Scots.

The Alma College Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) team claimed its ninth consecutive regional championship at the SIFE USA Regional Competition in March 2009.
