Field Events 1:00 p.m.
Men –     Finals Shot Put, Javelin (to follow Shot Put), Long Jump and Pole Vault
Women –  Finals Discus, High Jump, Long Jump (will follow men’s Long Jump), and Pole Vault (will follow men’s pole vault)

Track Prelims
4:50 -    110 High Hurdle trials
         -    100 Hurdle trials
5:10 -    400 M Dash trials
5:30 -    100 M Dash trials
5:50 -    800 M Run trials – 1 turn stagger
6:10 -    400 M Hurdle trials
6:30 -    200 M Dash trials
6:50 -    10,000 M Run final

•    In case of bad weather Pole Vault shall be moved to 2nd day AM or PM

2nd Day

Men -    Finals Triple Jump (to follow women), Discus and High Jump

NOTE: Women run first in even years, men run first in odd years.
Field events do not alternate by gender each year.

 

Spring Term at Alma is a one-month immersion on a single academic topic that offers learning experiences not typically available during the more traditional 15-week fall and winter terms. For example, during Spring Term ‘07 students explored important cultural sites in China, worked to restore a Jewish Holocaust cemetery in Poland, analyzed ethic politics in Scotland, and studied medieval literature in London.

Charlie Goffnett

Charlie Goffnett

One of the top Division III coaches in the nation, Charlie Goffnett has built the Alma women's basketball program into a national powerhouse. With three MIAA titles, five NCAA Tournament berths and one national championship under his belt, Goffnett is one of the most accomplished coaches in the nation.

Charlie Goffnett began coaching the women's golf team in 1990. As head coach, he has established a competitive program that is always on or near the top of the MIAA standings. In 1997, the Scots captured their third MIAA title under Goffnett's guidance.
