Percival Third in Prelims, Qualified for MIAA Championship in 100 meter dash

ALBION, Mich. - With a time of 10.99, sophomore Kyle Percival qualified for the finals of the MIAA Championship 100 meter dash. He qualified seventh in the 200 meter dash.

In the 400 meter dash, Dustin Roberson was sixth in prelim action with a time of 52.28 while  Rory Wildner finished fourth in 400 hurdles prelims.

In finals action, Roberson was seventh in the long jump with a mark of 20-07.75.

The Scots return to action Friday with the conclusion of the MIAA Championships. 

 

Spring Term at Alma is a one-month immersion on a single academic topic that offers learning experiences not typically available during the more traditional 15-week fall and winter terms. For example, during Spring Term ’08, students toured cultural sites in Argentina, studied lizards in Jamaica, analyzed World War II topics at the British National Archives in London, performed music in Italy, and examined the natural wonders of New Zealand.

Cheyenne Luzynski

Alma College Athletics appointed Cheyenne Luzynski as head volleyball coach beginning with the 2007 spring non-traditional season. Luzynski is the eighth head coach in the 31-year history of Alma College volleyball.

Luzynski has served as an assistant volleyball coach for two seasons and has led the junior varsity program during that time. She has served as an assistant coach with the men’s basketball program, leading its junior varsity program and is an assistant coach with the men’s and women’s track and field teams at Alma College. Additionally, Luzynski has been named an assistant Athletic Director and serves as the Senior Woman Administrator within the department.
