Alma Vs. Olivet

This meet has been the most surprising of all the meets we have had. During warm up and even a little bit before, I felt nauseous and not up to par. Every 50 during warm up felt like a 500 and I got tired doing the simplest things. Then the 200 free came and I guess I shrugged that off cause I ended up going the fastest I have ever been in the 200 (1:51.24). I'm trying to learn that swimming based on emotions and feelings just isn't smart and this weekend proved that. Everyone is able to swim fast even when they don't feel so good.
Congrats to Hanna for a GRAND re-entrance into the League with a score of 260.25 on 3-meter and to Andrew with a personal best time in the 200 fly (actually swimming it smart and not dying the last 100). Others like Brianna on 3-meter, showing everyone that you don't have to be a guy to chuck 2 1/2's left and right, Christine on her first 500 ever, and all the guys in the 400 IM for finishing with...for finishing :).
Great meet all around!

I felt the team did great as a whole with not only several season bests but also a few lifetime best swims as well.  I personally had a lifetime best 200 fly (2:05.09) - which hadn't been broken since my senior year of high school (2:06.06).  Overall, it was a great meet!

I LOVE SWIMMING!! The meet this past weekend was something else. Personally, I really did not enjoy the swimming part of the meet due to injuries, but I know that as a team we did very well. And there were some personal bests, so...GO TEAM! We had a very hard week of practice and although we were tired, we pulled through and had some amazing races. The divers also did very well! We have two more meets to go and hopefully they will go just as well if not better for the team! Sanderson says, "HI".
