Head Coach Kyle Schack Named an Assistant at USA Swimming’s Zone Select Camp

ALMA, Mich. – Alma College head swimming coach Kyle Schack was selected by USA Swimming to be on staff for the Central Zone Select Camp May 24-27. The Select Camp, held at Indiana University, will bring together the top 56 (men and women) 14 and under swimmers from across the Central Zone. Schack will be one of four assistant coaches working under Coach Brian Lee from Hawaii.

USA Swimming’s Zone Select Camps are viewed as an integral step for athletes to move from the local and Zone level on to the national scene.

USA Swimming selects a head coach for each camp as well as four assistant coaches and two managers. Additionally, one male and one female National Junior Team athlete attend each camp.

Schack recently wrapped up his first season as head coach of the men’s and women’s swimming and diving program at Alma College.

More than a third of all Alma students take part in at least one performance each year. The College offers majors in theatre, dance and music, but students of all majors may join in productions. The Remick Heritage Center for the Performing Arts is the region’s premiere performing arts facility.
