The Scots wrapped up competition at the DePauw Invitational Saturday (Dec. 2) . The men's team finished ninth overall with 152 points as DePauw won its own invitational with 975.5 points. The women's team finished eighth with 173.5 points as DePauw won on the women's side as well with 765 team points.
Wrapping up action on Saturday, the men's 200 medley relay team of Spencer Johnson, Trevor McCann, Brent Gostomski and Nate McDonald finished ninth with a time of 1:46.54. Johnson's second place finish in the 100 backstroke was the best for the Maroon and Cream as he touched out in 55.52.
The 400 free relay team of Brandon Gostomski, Matt Davis, Brent Gostomski and Spencer Johnson was seventh with a time of 3:24.90 in a 19-team event.
On the women's side, Sarah Anderson was 14th in the 50 free with a time of 27.15 while Caylee Coe finished 14th in the 100 backstroke, touching the wall in 1:08.90.
The Scots return to competition when they travel to Florida for their annual training trip.

Alma College swimming and diving continued to perform well, ending the first day of competition at the DePauw Invitational in seventh place in both the men's and women's invitational.
For the women, Emily Smith was seventh in the 200 IM finals with a time of 2:26.91 while she finished seventh in the 100 breaststroke, touching out in a time of 1:17.03. In the same event in the 'B' final, Nicole McCarthy finished ninth overall with a time of 1:14.94.
The women's 800 free relay team of Elaina Paulson, Caylee Coe, Sara Swanton and Emily Smith finished seventh out of 15 teams in the event, combining for a time of 8:53.67.
On the men's side, Spencer Johnson took sixth in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:05.30. Alma's 800 free relay team of Matt Davis, Corey White, Johnson and Brent Gostomski finished seventh in the event with a time of 7:46.15.
Alma continues action through Saturday at the DePauw Invitational.
