DePauw Invitational Review

GREENCASTLE, Ind. - The Alma College women's swimming and diving team wrapped up action at the DePauw Invitational Saturday, led by Emily Smith's (Adrian) third place finish in the 200 breast, touching out in a time of 2:36.56.

As a team, Alma finished 10th with 146 points. Wittenberg won the invitational with 788 points.

In the 200 free, Audrey Sloan (Riverview) was 11th with a time of 2:07.17. Joining Smith's performance in the 200 breast, both Jaci Wilkie (Monroe) and Nicole McCarthy (Owosso) placed in the B-Final - 11th and 14th, respectively.

The women return to action Jan. 14 in a tri-meet with St. Mary's and Hillsdale.

Spring Term at Alma is a one-month immersion on a single academic topic that offers learning experiences not typically available during the more traditional 15-week fall and winter terms. For example, during Spring Term ‘07 students explored important cultural sites in China, worked to restore a Jewish Holocaust cemetery in Poland, analyzed ethic politics in Scotland, and studied medieval literature in London.
